Home Should Make You Smile
That's the idea that started Rust and Roses—and it's still the reason I'm here today.

Hi! I'm Angie.
From a very early age, I learned that a home doesn't have to be big or fancy to feel special. I grew up in my Mamaw's small house, but it was always well cared for, and she had a way of making it feel warm and beautiful. I still remember the feeling of comfort and peace that welcomed me every time I walked through the door.
As I got older, shopping for beautiful home décor became something my mom and I did almost every Saturday. It was our special mother-daughter time, and together we made wonderful memories searching for that one perfect piece.
After every shopping trip, we'd check in with each other during the week and ask, "Do you love it?" That simple question became our measure of success. It wasn't about how much something cost or whether it matched the latest decorating trend. It was about whether that piece still made us smile every time we walked by.
Those early experiences shaped the philosophy that Rust and Roses is built on. I believe your home—and the things you choose to fill it with—should make you smile and bring you joy.
Everyone deserves a home they love, whether it's filled with treasured family heirlooms, vintage finds discovered at an antique mall, or simple pieces collected over time because they meant something special.
My goal as the owner and curator of Rust and Roses is to help you create a home you love, one beautiful treasure at a time.
Do You Love It?
That was the question my mom and I always asked each other after a Saturday spent treasure hunting.
Today, before I bring anything home, I still ask myself the very same question. If the answer is yes...it usually comes home with me.

What I Believe

These are the beliefs that have shaped my home—and inspired Rust and Roses.
Home should make you smile.

Beautiful doesn't have to be perfect.
Decorate with things you love.

If it makes you smile every time you walk by, you've made the right choice.
Every Home Has a Story

The most meaningful rooms are collected over time.
There are no decorating rules.

The best homes are the ones that reflect the people who live in them.
Vintage gives a home soul.

Old things remind us that beauty doesn't have an expiration date.
Do you love it?

If the answer is yes, you've found your perfect piece.

Decorating Ideas I Come Back To

A few of my favorite ways to add warmth, personality, and vintage charm to a home.
Start with one beautiful piece.

You don't need to decorate an entire kitchen overnight. A simple crock filled with vintage rolling pins, a bouquet of fresh flowers, and a favorite cookbook can completely change how a corner feels.
It's those little touches that make a house feel welcoming.
Collections tell your story.
Whether it's quilts, ironstone, birds, or old wooden bobbins, collecting things you truly love gives your home personality.
Every collection becomes part of your story.

Comfort is always in style.
Soft quilts, old books, flowers, and gentle lighting make a bedroom feel peaceful.
I believe every room should have a place that invites you to slow down and stay awhile.

I'm So Glad You're Here.
Thank you for getting to know Rust and Roses.
I hope you'll find inspiration, encouragement, and a few treasures that help you create a home you truly love.
