Antique Primitive Wooden Butter Mold & Press – Dovetail Farmhouse Kitchen Tool

A wonderful old wooden butter mold with the kind of warm patina and simple handmade construction that makes antique kitchen pieces so special.

This rectangular mold features dovetailed corners, aged natural wood and its original wooden plunger with tall round handle. Pieces like this were once practical kitchen tools, used to form freshly churned butter into uniform blocks before it was removed from the mold with the plunger.

Today, it's a beautiful piece of primitive farmhouse history. Display it intact on an open shelf or kitchen counter, or separate the pieces and tuck the mold and plunger into different vignettes. The warm wood mixes beautifully with ironstone, crocks, old cutting boards, baskets and other collected kitchen pieces.
