Vintage Sewing Machine Drawer with Ornate Front

A beautiful vintage wooden sewing machine drawer salvaged from an old treadle-style sewing machine cabinet. These narrow drawers were originally used to hold thread, bobbins and other sewing necessities, but today they're wonderful pieces for decorating and display.

This one has a particularly pretty front with a raised circular medallion surrounded by ornate carved detailing. The rich dark wood finish shows plenty of age and patina, giving it the character we love in an old piece.

Vintage sewing drawers are incredibly versatile for vignette building. Use one horizontally to hold greenery, books, bottles or collected treasures, or stack several together to add height and architectural interest to a display. They're equally pretty tucked onto a shelf or used for practical storage.
