Vintage Stoneware Pitcher Cream Pottery w/ Cobalt Blue Double Stripe –Farmhouse
Beautiful vintage stoneware pitcher featuring a warm creamy-beige glaze accented with two classic cobalt blue bands around the center. The substantial rounded body, flared rim, pouring spout and large applied handle give it wonderful old-fashioned utilitarian character.
The pottery has the subtle irregularities you want to see in an older stoneware piece — visible throwing lines, variations in the glaze and a slightly imperfect handmade appearance. The neutral cream and blue combination makes this especially easy to incorporate into farmhouse, cottage and collected vintage interiors.
This would be gorgeous filled with fresh or dried flowers, wooden utensils, greenery or simply displayed on its own on a kitchen shelf, hutch or table.
The bottom is unmarked, so I would not attribute it to a specific maker or pottery without additional evidence.
Condition: Good vintage condition with age-related surface and glaze variations, small marks and imperfections consistent with vintage pottery. No cracks, chips or repairs. The rim/spout has some irregularity that appears consistent with the rustic manufacture/age of the piece. Measures 9 3/4 x 8 1/2"
